Positive Aspects

1. Well-Balanced Mid-Range Performance

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 features an 8-core Kryo CPU (based on Cortex-A710 and Cortex-A510) with a strong mix of efficiency and performance, making it well suited for everyday tasks, productivity, and moderate multitasking. Its 4nm process node ensures good power efficiency and thermal characteristics.

2. Good Graphics and Multimedia Capabilities

With the Adreno 644 GPU and support for Vulkan 1.1, OpenCL 2.0, and DirectX 12.1, the SoC delivers solid graphics performance for mid-range devices. It supports up to 200 MP camera sensors and 4K @30FPS video capture/playback, enabling quality imaging and multimedia experiences.

3. Strong Connectivity and Memory Support

Integrated Snapdragon X62 5G modem provides robust 5G connectivity along with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 support. LPDDR5 memory support at up to 3200 MHz and UFS 3.1 storage enhance overall system responsiveness and data throughput.

Negative Aspects

1. GPU Not Flagship-Level

While the Adreno 644 is capable for casual gaming and multimedia, it does not match the graphics performance of premium chips, leading to limitations in high-end gaming or demanding 3D rendering.

2. Slightly Dated CPU Core Design

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 uses Cortex-A710 and Cortex-A510 cores rather than newer Arm architectures (such as Cortex-A720/A520), resulting in comparatively lower performance per watt and efficiency versus newer mid-range SoCs.

Device information for this processor will be available soon. We are working on collecting data about smartphones and tablets that use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.
