Positive Aspects

1. Good Everyday Performance

MediaTek Helio G81 combines two Cortex-A75 performance cores and six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores, offering smooth performance for general daily use and multitasking.

2. Decent Graphics for the Segment

Featuring the Mali-G52 MP2 GPU with Vulkan 1.3 support, Helio G81 handles casual gaming and multimedia playback adequately for budget to entry-level devices.

3. Balanced Efficiency and Battery Life

Built on a 12 nm process and offering respectable benchmark results (~260K AnTuTu 10), the Helio G81 delivers a good balance between performance and power efficiency in its class.

Negative Aspects

1. No Native 5G Support

Helio G81 does not include an integrated 5G modem, restricting it to 4G LTE connectivity which may lag behind newer mid-range chips with 5G.

2. Modest GPU and Single-Core Output

Although suitable for basic gaming, the Mali-G52 MP2 GPU and Helio G81’s CPU performance are modest compared to more modern SoCs with advanced GPU cores or higher single-core benchmarks.

Device information for this processor will be available soon. We are working on collecting data about smartphones and tablets that use the MediaTek Helio G81.
